We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate Network & Security Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to balance a variety of tasks. As part of this Network & Security Team, you will be responsible for deploying, administering, maintaining, and supporting global networks and security-related hardware and software using state-of-the-art technology. 

This hybrid role is based in our Dartford office and involves integrating the latest technology to ensure optimal network security and performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, administer, and maintain network and security platforms, including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, network access control, cryptography systems, monitoring, and cloud technologies/applications.
  • Perform diagnostics, appraisal, and analysis on Cisco-based network and security technologies, ensuring maximum system reliability and security.
  • Monitor network traffic to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Implement and administer remote access and VPN solutions.
  • Manage PKI distribution and issue/revoke certificates.
  • Provide BAU support for network and security-related tickets/incidents.
  • Develop technical specifications, runbooks, design documents, and rollout and test plans.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure security is integrated into new systems and applications.
  • Create technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Define and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, proposing and implementing mitigating solutions.
  • Provide occasional on-site support at other Europa Worldwide Group sites inside and outside of the UK.

Skills/Must have:

  • Cisco network support experience (2 years’+ desirable).
  • Experience supporting multisite L2 & L3 networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP Suite.
  • Experience with the configuration and operational maintenance of Cisco software and hardware.
  • Hands-on experience in the administration and configuration of firewalls.
  • Knowledge of network segmentation and access control.
  • Experience with site-to-site and endpoint VPNs.
  • Experience with enterprise wireless solutions.
  • Experience with RADIUS/TACACS.
  • Experience implementing and supporting routing solutions (BGP, STATIC).
  • Cisco Meraki exposure.
  • Strong second/third line BAU network support.
  • Full UK driving license.

Salary

  • Up to £30,000 base per year
