The team is hiring 3x Shift Engineers to manage 24/7 data centre operations, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to incidents across critical systems. The roles will focus on maintaining uptime, supporting infrastructure performance, and ensuring smooth operations during rotational shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on operation and maintenance of critical systems in a 24/7 environment.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure (UPS, batteries, switchgear, LV/MV distribution).
  • Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance activities to ensure operational resilience.
  • Respond to incidents quickly and independently, escalating when required.
  • Support mechanical systems and building services (cooling, HVAC, BMS).
  • Keep detailed logs, records, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programmes.
  • Work as part of a four-person shift team under a site supervisor, covering 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm, with nights one in four).


Skills / Must have:

  • Electrical bias with relevant City & Guilds qualifications (installations acceptable).
  • Minimum BS7671 18th Edition certification.
  • Strong ability to work independently and with the right attitude to problem-solving.
  • Experience working in critical environments (data centres, hospitals, airports, water treatment, etc.).
  • Mechanical bias and/or experience with building services.
  • Knowledge of BMS or network systems.
  • Broad skill set across controls and critical facilities.
