A high-profile organisation is seeking an experienced AI Security Architect for an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This hybrid role is based in Reading, requiring 2 days per week on-site, and offers a competitive rate of up to £625 per day (Inside IR35).

This position focuses on embedding security into AI/ML systems, pipelines, and infrastructure from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of AI/ML security architecture, along with a strong foundation in secure development practices, DevOps environments, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security strategies, standards, and policies for AI/ML systems and data pipelines.
  • Define and maintain secure enterprise architecture across AI/ML, CI/CD, and model workflows.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and threat modelling for AI/ML initiatives.
  • Support testing and evaluation of AI models, including fairness, bias, adversarial testing, and safety.
  • Implement secure access controls, encryption, and authentication for sensitive AI/ML assets.
  • Provide expert guidance during AI/ML system development and deployment phases.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO 27001 and others.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven background as a Security Architect with strong AI/ML security experience.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks and their unique security implications.
  • Familiarity with ML/LLM tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and scikit-learn.
  • Knowledge of adversarial attacks, prompt injection, and data poisoning threats.
  • Experience using threat modelling tools and security assessment techniques for AI systems.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements (EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.).

Duration: 

  • 6 months (with view for extension)
