The company is looking for a business analyst to join on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This hybrid position requires three days per week in the Belfast office, offering flexibility while facilitating collaboration with key stakeholders. The role has been confirmed as inside IR35.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with stakeholders in Trading, Business Operations, Technology, and PMO to run meetings, coordinate, and gather business requirements.
  • Collaborate across Business lines on transformation projects to understand processes and provide functional design inputs for technology solutions.
  • Document high-quality Business and Functional Requirements and maintain traceability from BRD to Test Plan results.
  • Analyze large data sets, create flow diagrams, and prepare summaries and workflows.
  • Coordinate with development leads on enhancements and defects, assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of application defects.
  • Oversee project planning, estimating, risk management, project reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Support project execution through JIRA, tracking progress for technical teams and providing updates to internal and business stakeholders.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a global financial institution, particularly in Foreign Exchange, Trade Processing, and Risk Management.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end workflows for a minimum of two asset classes, such as FX, Fixed Income, Money Markets, or Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of deal capture, deal execution, and full front-to-back processing.
