The team is hiring a Configuration Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of client CMDBs. This position leads configuration data quality initiatives, drives continual improvement in SCM practices, and ensures alignment with best-in-class data governance frameworks. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and control the handling of data within the CMDB to ensure integrity and accuracy across all Configuration Items (CIs)
  • Lead data quality assessments and implement strategies to address and resolve any data quality issues
  • Oversee the following SCM processes: Data Attestation Process, Data Governance Process, Recertification Process, Discovery Tool Reconciliation Process
  • Manage and coordinate a team of SCM Analysts, including planning, task allocation, and monitoring of business-as-usual (BAU) activities
  • Collaborate with Change Management teams to detect and address unauthorized changes or discrepancies within the CMDB
  • Assist in the development of CMDB-related training materials, documentation, and process integration guides
  • Support training efforts for CI Data Owners and ensure adherence to standardized CI management procedures
  • Participate in process evaluations across Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management
  • Provide expert guidance on structural improvements and enhancements to the CMDB


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Configuration Management and CMDB oversight within enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of SCM frameworks, ITIL processes, and tooling best practices
  • Experience with horizontal discovery and service mapping technologies (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery)
  • Demonstrable leadership skills in managing SCM teams and driving process improvements
  • Exceptional analytical skills for diagnosing data issues and identifying root causes
  • Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders, technical teams, and training departments
