The team is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise systems. The role will focus on threat mitigation, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures for Oil & Gas clients (IT & OT environments).
  • Perform network security assessments, firewall rule audits, and vulnerability management.
  • Configure and maintain next-gen firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network segmentation.
  • Assist in security incident response and forensic investigations.
  • Monitor client environments for threats using SIEM and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Lead or assist with security-related client projects, including network hardening, NIST/ISO 27001 audits, or regulatory compliance (e.g., NERC CIP, TSA Pipeline Security Guidelines).
  • Work with cross-functional teams (SOC, NOC, Infrastructure) to ensure comprehensive threat coverage.
  • Provide guidance on secure configurations for routers, switches, and wireless devices.
  • Document architectures, procedures, and incidents thoroughly for both internal and client records.


Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years in Cyber Security Engineering or Network Security roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, etc.).
  • Proficient in secure network design, segmentation, and hardening.
  • Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and log analysis.
  • Experience working within or supporting industrial environments (SCADA, ICS, or OT networks).
  • Familiarity with MSP operations, SLAs, and client ticketing systems (ConnectWise, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Understanding of Oil & Gas cybersecurity challenges and regulatory frameworks.
  • Certifications (Preferred but not required):
  • CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CASP+
  • CISSP, CISM, or GSEC
  • Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP Security
  • GIAC certifications (GICSP, GRID, GCIA, etc.)
