We are partnered with a global system integrator and they're looking for multiple Desktop Support Engineers for a Migration project upgrading the Desktop environment from  Windows 7 to  Windows 11.

You will be based on the customer site 5 days a week.

Contract details:

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Duration: 6 Months 
Hourly rate: $25 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and work orders in a courteous manner.
  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from help desk customers.
  • Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.

Must Haves:

  • Maintenance, analyses, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. 
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. 
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. 

 Knowledge & Experience:

  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware.
  • Experience with desktop operating systems including Microsoft, and Mac OS X
  • Lenovo Laptops
