Responsibilities:

  • Lead thorough evaluations of telecommunication projects to determine electrical needs and specifications
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to collect essential information for precise estimate preparation
  • Identify potential project risks and propose strategies to minimise or mitigate those risks
  • Analyse internal company data to support the accuracy of electrical cost estimates
  • Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, labour, and equipment expenses for electrical installations
  • Review electrical drawings and plans to inform and validate cost projections
  • Utilise computer estimating tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam to assist in developing reliable electrical cost forecasts


Skills/Must have:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar or related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings upon hire, as this role is safety-sensitive and based on a military installation
  • Familiarity with Accubid software for estimating purposes
  • Willingness to travel outside Washington State for bid opportunities
  • Proven track record in electrical estimating for commercial and government projects
  • Experience working on government electrical projects is essential
  • Solid knowledge of electrical telecommunications construction or infrastructure project management principles
  • Experience with design-build project delivery methods
  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with relevant local electrical regulations
