Key Responsibilities:

• Splice fiber optic cables, including mid-sheath and loose tube fusions, and construct proper splice cases.
• Troubleshoot and test fiber using OTDR and red light, ensuring clean installs and quick issue resolution.
• Help lead and mentor a splicing laborer, passing on technical knowledge in a collaborative team.
• Ensure site safety, follow vehicle inspection routines, and complete daily job and audit sheets.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in fiber splicing (drop cable to 432 count)
• Understanding of fiber color code and splicing terminology
• Ability to read and follow fiber engineering documents
• Willingness to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and outdoors
