Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the accounting function, including bookkeeping, general ledger, and month-end close.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state financial regulations, including sales tax reporting.
- Manage treasury functions, with a strong emphasis on cash flow and payment tracking.
- Handle payroll processing and exception management.
- Maintain financial procedures, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with sales and operations to understand customer activity and sales impact.
- Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and QuoteWorks for quoting functions.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and ensure timely book closings.
- Serve as the point person for financial compliance and internal controls.
- “Fight fires” as needed in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Leverage Excel expertise for reporting, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively across teams, ensuring clarity in financial matters.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of financial/accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both public accounting (firm experience) and corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, sales tax, and multi-state reporting.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and payroll systems.
- Proven treasury management skills, particularly in cash flow oversight.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt and thrive in a growing company.
Salary:
