Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the accounting function, including bookkeeping, general ledger, and month-end close.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state financial regulations, including sales tax reporting.
  • Manage treasury functions, with a strong emphasis on cash flow and payment tracking.
  • Handle payroll processing and exception management.
  • Maintain financial procedures, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to understand customer activity and sales impact.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and QuoteWorks for quoting functions.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and ensure timely book closings.
  • Serve as the point person for financial compliance and internal controls.
  • “Fight fires” as needed in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Leverage Excel expertise for reporting, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively across teams, ensuring clarity in financial matters.


Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of financial/accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both public accounting (firm experience) and corporate finance.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, sales tax, and multi-state reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and payroll systems.
  • Proven treasury management skills, particularly in cash flow oversight.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt and thrive in a growing company.
