A leading European aviation group is seeking an experienced freelance Machine Learning Consultant to elevate its existing ML framework and drive innovation across operations, revenue management, and flight safety analytics. This is a fully remote, six-month engagement starting in July 2025, open to EU-based consultants. The role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical aviation data projects, collaborate with seasoned internal teams, and influence ML architecture for major 2026 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with internal data and engineering teams to assess and enhance the current machine learning setup.
- Define a scalable reference architecture to support future growth and innovation.
- Develop proof of concepts (PoCs) for high-impact, strategic use cases.
- Integrate tools such as Azure DevOps, SAP BW/4, Azure Synapse, and SAP Business Data Cloud.
- Provide expert guidance on lifecycle management of ML models, including training, CI/CD, governance, and performance monitoring.
Skills/Must have:
- Strong background in applied data science with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience.
- Fluent in Python and SQL with a solid grasp of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
- Deep understanding of DevOps and MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model deployment, and monitoring.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end machine learning lifecycles in production environments.
- Experience in regulated or complex sectors (e.g., finance, healthcare, manufacturing) is highly desirable
