Responsibilities:
- Analyse systems to ensure personal data is deleted, anonymised, or obfuscated (DAO) in line with GDPR retention policies
- Identify and map data flows and storage locations; work with system SMEs to document where personal data resides across platforms
- Detect compliance risks in current data practices and recommend remediation strategies (eg, flagging unretained or untracked personal data)
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, IT, and business teams to align data governance efforts with privacy requirements
- Generate reports, metrics, and dashboards to provide visibility on compliance status and progress of data clean-up initiatives
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of GDPR principles
- Ability to query and interpret large datasets using SQL or similar tools to identify data volumes and retention violations
- Ability to identify inconsistencies in data handling, retention logic, or documentation gaps that may lead to compliance issues
- Familiarity with databases, cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure), and data governance tools (eg, Collibra, Informatica, OneTrust)
