Head of Infrastructure - Hosting

Our client, a high-growth startup building a next-generation GPU-powered compute platform and is targeting 300MW capacity by 2026, with the first 40MW site going live in January. This is a unique opportunity to lead the growth of their systems infrastructure for one of the largest-scale AI-focused infrastructure builds in the US. We are seeking a Head of Infrastructure to lead the design, scaling, and operation of high-performance compute infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure strategy across CPU, NVIDIA GPU clusters (25,000+ GPUs), virtualization, and core systems.
• Lead vendor evaluation, hardware selection, and capacity scaling across multiple regions.
• Drive infrastructure automation, orchestration, and optimization to support advanced compute workloads.
• Build and scale engineering teams with full autonomy over hiring plans, vendor strategy, and technical direction.
• Partner closely with leadership to define long-term growth strategy.

Requirements

• Proven leadership scaling large-scale GPU/compute clusters in hyperscale or neocloud environments.
• Hands-on expertise with virtualization, system infrastructure, and large-scale HPC/AI deployments.
• Strong vendor management and network scaling experience.
• Background from leading compute-focused organizations.
• Prior AI/ML infrastructure deployment experience highly preferred.

Salary:

• $500,000 gross per year
