Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design secure, scalable Back End systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and provide mentorship to development teams.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business needs into architectural solutions.
- Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures on AWS/GCP.
- Research emerging technologies and integrate them into solution design where relevant.
- Participate in estimation, planning, and risk management activities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in software development, with at least 6 years in Java/AWS microservices architecture.
- Proven experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong expertise in Java (JDK 17/21) and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (eg, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Aurora).
- Hands-on with AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions) and GCP.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Terraform).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
Desirable Skills (Not essential):
- Certifications in cloud/architecture (AWS Architect, TOGAF, etc.).
- Experience with asynchronous programming and message brokers (SNS/SQS).
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, CQRS, and Saga patterns.
- Exposure to tools like Datadog, SonarQube, and Apigee Gateway.
