Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior network engineers with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless equipment.
  • Learn how to configure and monitor network security tools and firewalls under guidance.
  • Help with the setup, deployment, and troubleshooting of wireless networks, using Aruba and Meraki devices.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, assisting with basic network configurations and cloud integrations.
  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting network performance, identifying issues such as downtime, slow speeds, or connectivity problems.
  • Contribute to maintaining network documentation, including configurations and diagrams.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to learn about best practices in network design and security.
  • Support the IT team in routine network maintenance and upgrades to improve network performance and reliability.
  • Work on smaller network tasks and projects to help build foundational networking skills.

Skills/Must have:

  • A strong interest in learning about networking technologies and a passion for IT.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks and network protocols (such as IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • Strong desire to gain hands-on experience with network security, wireless technologies, and cloud platforms.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team and learn from more experienced professionals.
