Responsibilities:
- Assist senior network engineers with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless equipment.
- Learn how to configure and monitor network security tools and firewalls under guidance.
- Help with the setup, deployment, and troubleshooting of wireless networks, using Aruba and Meraki devices.
- Gain hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, assisting with basic network configurations and cloud integrations.
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting network performance, identifying issues such as downtime, slow speeds, or connectivity problems.
- Contribute to maintaining network documentation, including configurations and diagrams.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to learn about best practices in network design and security.
- Support the IT team in routine network maintenance and upgrades to improve network performance and reliability.
- Work on smaller network tasks and projects to help build foundational networking skills.
Skills/Must have:
- A strong interest in learning about networking technologies and a passion for IT.
- Basic understanding of computer networks and network protocols (such as IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
- Strong desire to gain hands-on experience with network security, wireless technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and learn from more experienced professionals.
