Lead Linux Engineer Opportunity - Defence & Space Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Linux Engineer with a strong background in managing and optimizing Linux environments? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Linux Engineer to join a leading Defence & Space Manufacturing Organisation in Corsham.

In this role, you will work for a dynamic technology company that offers highly intelligent and secure digital services to its customers, focusing on delivering Linux based solutions and getting involved in a Windows to Linux migration project.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established team that promotes internal development and progression.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a dynamic Linux environment, currently migrating from Windows to Linux.
• Utilize your expertise in Native RedHat Linux to support and enhance the system.
• Develop and implement Ansible scripts for automation and efficiency.
• Manage and deploy Kubernetes clusters for scalable applications.
• Oversee satellite management, including monitoring, patching, and deployments.
• Balance project work with Business As Usual (BAU) tasks, ensuring a 50/50 split.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Native RedHat Linux.
• Proficiency in Ansible scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with satellite management and related tasks.
• Ability to obtain DV Clearance (existing SC clearance is acceptable).
• Must be a UK National.
