Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for training, planning, scheduling, supervising, counseling, and directing all field personnel in performance of all low voltage systems installation and service.
  • Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies.
  • Performs installation tasks, advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair when needed.
  • Evaluate employees and provides the necessary guidance regarding job performance.
  • Approve documentation for payroll, and report work-related incidents, or injuries.


Skills/Must have:

  • Three to five years of experience installing commercial construction low voltage systems.
  • State or local licensure where required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards, and state/local codes.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting electrical plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications. 
  • Exhibit leadership skills with hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating employees.
  • Coordinate work of various departments and multiple projects to meet deadlines, customer service, and employee needs.
  • Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Skilled analysis of personnel expenses and cost to maintain profitability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass various background checks when required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle.
  • May require participation in on-call rotation.


Desirable (but not required):

  • BICSI Installer level 1 or 2 and CTS certifications.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of AV, intrusion, intercom, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling systems.
