A fast-growing Managed Service Provider is seeking an experienced MSP Engineer to join their team, delivering reliable IT solutions and support to a diverse client base across multiple industries. The MSP Engineer will provide advanced technical support and maintenance for client IT infrastructures, including ticket resolution, endpoint management, and troubleshooting complex systems to ensure optimal network and application performance.

This role encompasses designing, implementing, and monitoring IT solutions, leading high-level projects, and resolving critical issues. Additionally, the engineer will mentor junior team members, offer expert IT consultation to clients, and maintain up-to-date industry certifications. Participation in on-call rotations and client site visits is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Technical Support & Problem Solving

  • Manage and coordinate incident responses for critical issues across multiple platforms
  • Perform in-depth root cause analysis and implement permanent resolutions
  • Diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layered technical problems
  • Develop innovative solutions for unique or unprecedented problems
  • Utilize advanced monitoring, diagnostic, and analysis tools
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize IT infrastructure

Network & Systems Administration

  • Support and configure network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, routing, and wireless systems
  • Implement and maintain VoIP and structured cabling solutions
  • Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including Endpoint Manager (Intune), Active Directory, and security configurations
  • Ensure efficient backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures
  • Work with vendors for expedited troubleshooting and resolution of hardware/software issues

Best Practices & Continuous Improvement

  • Research and implement industry best practices for IT management and security
  • Develop standardized processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor and refine IT service delivery through ongoing performance metrics
  • Drive adoption of best practices across IT projects and service engagements

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users, from executives to end users
  • Provide IT consultation to clients, helping them optimize their technology investments
  • Mentor junior engineers, offering training and guidance to develop technical skills
  • Document best practices and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team

Skills/Must have:

  • Degree (or comparable work experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (Associate’s preferred)
  • Strong networking experience: Firewall, Switches, Routing, VLANs, Wireless, and VoIP
  • Expertise with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, and network security
  • Experience with ticketing systems, RMM tools, and remote IT support platforms
  • Professional IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA, ITIL, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
