Our client is a global leading Cisco Gold Partner, and is seeking a Network Core Consultant for an initial 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and multiple vendors in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Contract details:
- Location: Milton Keynes – 2/3 days a week
- Contract Type: 6 Month Contract (Long term program)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Day Rate: £480 - £530PD
- Determination: Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer ISP networks with horizontal scaling capabilities.
- Work with multiple vendors, especially Nokia and Juniper.
- Manage and implement MPLS, Ethernet, LDP, IS-IS, CoS & QoS, BGP4.
- Utilize automation tools, particularly Ansible and Python, to enhance network operations.
- Apply NRE principles to maintain and enhance network reliability.
- Configure and manage IPv4 and IPv6 routing, including BGP4, route reflectors, RIPE objects, Peering DB, and BNG.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Nokia or Juniper network equipment.
- Strong knowledge of core and backbone network concepts.
- Proficiency in MPLS and BGP protocols.
- Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible/Python.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) are a plus.
