Are you passionate about building robust and efficient networking infrastructures?
We're seeking a skilled Network Engineer to become an integral part of our Service Provider clients engineering team. As a Network Engineer, you'll play a leading role in designing, implementing, and maintaining networking solutions within their Service Provider network. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies from industry-leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ruckus/Comscope, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network solutions using Cisco, Juniper, and other routing and switching technologies, both in the core and at the customer edge.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi radios, controllers, and other connected systems.
- Perform IPv4 and IPv6 allocation planning to ensure optimal network utilization and redundancy scenarios.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Work within Linux environments and leverage Network DevOps culture and principles for efficient network engineering and operations.
- Maintain VMWare virtualization environment, overseeing a mix of Windows and Linux VMs for both public-facing and back-office applications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure network uptime and optimal performance.
- Assist in scheduled and emergency network maintenance activities to minimize customer impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field – or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies in an enterprise or service provider environment.
- Proficiency in Linux systems and open-source technologies for network management and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- CCNA or JNCIA certification (or above) is a plus.
Salary:
- $130,000-$170,000 Basic Salary Per Annum
