The team is hiring a Network Engineer (Alaska) to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure supporting enterprise and field operations. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support network infrastructure solutions for our clients in the oil and gas industry, utilizing Fortinet, Aruba, and Cisco technologies.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and develop tailored network solutions to meet their needs.
- Configure and optimize network devices, including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance network reliability and security.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, serving as a subject matter expert in Fortinet, Aruba, and Cisco technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our clients' network environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Fortinet, Aruba, and Cisco technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, Aruba wireless solutions, and Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, etc.).
- Experience with network security best practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and network segmentation.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or Aruba ACSP/ACMP are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
