Network Security Operations Engineer - Utilities

The multi-million-dollar environmental services company is seeking an experienced Network Security Operations Engineer to join the team. 

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support enterprise routing and switching infrastructure.
• Monitor network health, performance, and security using standard monitoring tools.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks.
• Administer next-generation firewalls (NGFW), including policy creation, rule tuning, and whitelist/blacklist management.
• Support and maintain load balancers, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Manage and support IPS/IDS systems, VPN configurations, network segmentation, and access control mechanisms.
• Collaborate with SOC and Infrastructure teams to ensure network resilience and security posture alignment.

Desired Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and NGFW administration (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point preferred).
• Experience managing enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless environments.
• Familiarity with load balancers, IPS/IDS, and VPN technologies.
• Working knowledge of network segmentation and access control best practices.
• Bonus experience with SIEM, EDR, and cloud networking/security (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, NSE 1–4, or CCSA are highly regarded.

Salary:
