Network Wireless Engineer - Cisco Gold Partner

We are partnered with a leading IT solutions and services provider in the UK. They specialize in offering channel-only IT solutions through resellers, partnering with major Vendors like Cisco and VMware to deliver cloud platforms, financing options, and IT lifecycle services.  Their network of certified technicians provides businesses with technical expertise for tasks like network design and equipment maintenance. 

They are now seeking an experienced Network Wireless Engineer with a strong background in Cisco/Aruba routing, switching, and wireless products for an initial 3/6 month contract.

Contract Details:

• Location: Manchester - Onsite
• Duration: 3/6 Months
• Determination: Outside IR35
• Day rate: £450 - £500 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy Aruba wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and other network hardware.
• Configure and manage Cisco/Aruba routing and switching solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure proper coverage and capacity.
• Optimize wireless networks to enhance performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve wireless network issues and outages.
• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate measures.
• Document network designs, configurations, and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Aruba wireless products and solutions.
• Proven expertise in wireless network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols and standards
• Proficiency in using wireless site survey and analysis tools (eg, Ekahau, AirMagnet).
• Experience with Cisco/Aruba routing and switching technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX), or equivalent.
