Responsibilities:

• Provide support for networking and systems-related issues, including handling Tier 1 and 2 escalations
• Assist with the configuration and maintenance of switching, routing, and firewall technologies
• Support the deployment and day-to-day management of virtual infrastructure environments (primarily VMware)
• Help monitor and troubleshoot Fortinet security appliances, including firewalls and VPN solutions
• Work collaboratively with team members to optimize system and network performance
• Participate in identifying and addressing potential security concerns and vulnerabilities
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and troubleshooting processes
• Demonstrate a detail-oriented approach in handling technical tasks and resolving issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and uptime
• Engage in ongoing learning and technical development through mentorship and hands-on experience

Skills/Must have:

• 2+ years of experience in a network/systems engineering or support role
• Familiarity with core routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP
• Working knowledge of VMware and virtualized infrastructure environments
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls or other security appliances
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and systems platforms
• Understanding of network security fundamentals and basic threat mitigation practices
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• A collaborative, team-first mindset and a desire to grow technically

Preferred (Not Required):

• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or VMware VCP
• Exposure to threat hunting, endpoint security tools, or SIEM platforms
• Experience supporting mixed Windows/Linux server environments
