As an OSP Assistant Inspector, you will embark on a dynamic journey to learn and assist in field inspections, focusing on cable/fiber placement, splicing, and construction work within the Fiber & OSP Construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and assist in inspecting the construction of fiber builds, ensuring adherence to industry standards and meeting client expectations based on construction maps.
  • Update construction maps accurately and on time, reflecting changes, additions, and materials used, following established processes.
  • Complete cup sheets in a timely and accurate manner to document materials used.
  • Maintain organized files and records for reference and reporting purposes.
  • Identify and communicate construction issues, progress, etc., to the Inspector, Resident Engineer, and internal design staff as needed.
  • Demonstrate timely and dependable presence at job sites, ready to work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer or internal design staff.

Skills/Must Have:

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, neatness, and clarity in work.
  • Flexibility, ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-directed with the initiative to perform weekly, monthly, and periodical tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and interaction with contractors, vendors, co-workers, etc.
  • Desire to grow and accept additional responsibilities.
  • Initiative in problem-solving and maintaining good relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Physically capable of being in the field and maintaining a presence at the job site.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as assigned.
