Key Responsibilities
- Practice Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the UK Data Centre practice strategy, growth plan and market positioning.
- Build and scale a multi-disciplinary Data Centre team (design, engineering, delivery, PM, commercial).
- Develop service offerings across feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
- Establish best-practice delivery models, QA, governance and risk management for mission-critical projects.
- Business Development & Client Leadership
- Act as the senior point of contact for key Data Centre clients, investors, developers and operators.
- Lead major bids and pursuits for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centre projects.
- Build long-term client relationships and frameworks with major operators and developers.
- Provide market insight on trends such as AI compute, sustainability, modular build, liquid cooling, and power strategy.
- Project & Delivery Oversight
- Provide executive oversight across major Data Centre programmes (new builds, expansions, retrofits).
- Support teams in resolving critical programme, cost, technical and risk challenges.
- Ensure projects meet safety, compliance, resilience, and uptime requirements.
- Act as escalation point for critical client or delivery issues.
- Commercial & Financial Management
- Own the P&L for the Data Centre practice, including revenue, margin and utilisation.
- Set pricing strategy and commercial models for Data Centre services.
- Drive profitable growth and long-term framework agreements.
- Forecast pipeline, resourcing and investment needs.
- Technical & Industry Leadership
- Maintain credibility as a senior Data Centre expert (power, cooling, resilience, compliance).
- Represent the business in industry forums, conferences and with key stakeholders (utilities, planning authorities, regulators).
- Keep the practice at the forefront of technology, sustainability and regulatory change.

- Internal engineering, delivery, commercial and leadership teams
Required Experience & Background
- 10–15+ years in Data Centres, mission-critical infrastructure or major infrastructure projects.
- Senior leadership experience in consulting, contracting, development or programme delivery.
- Proven track record of winning and delivering large, complex Data Centre programmes.
- Strong understanding of:
- Power and cooling systems
- Uptime, resilience and redundancy
- Sustainability and energy strategy
- UK planning and regulatory environment
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Commercially astute with experience owning or influencing P&L.
