We are partnered with a telecommunications contractor based in Trainer, Pennsylvania. They offer a range of services, including aerial and underground construction, general maintenance, engineering, design, utility locating, and project management. They have been in operation for over 40 years and are known for their expertise in the telecommunications industry. They have completed numerous large-scale projects across the country and are committed to providing quality service to their clients

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Telecommunications Safety Field Supervisor to oversee safety protocols and compliance within their telecommunications operations. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, particularly in telecommunications infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety among workforces.

Due to the nature of this role, there is 80% travel is required.


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist, plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
  • Review work at project sites to ensure work is being completed safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes relevant to telecommunications operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and issues and communicate safety expectations clearly to all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement safety improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Aerial and Underground Telecommunications construction methods and specifications.
  • Current OSHA 500 certificate and training experience in OSHA 10/30
  • Additional safety certifications preferred (e.g., Utility Safety, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety Hazards) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable briefing groups
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting field audits and accident investigations
  • Able to travel and work in varying and harsh weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
