SD-WAN Engineer - MSP

Our client is an established managed services provider specialising in secure, global data communications and SmartWAN solutions.

They design, implement, and operate wide area network environments for internationally active organisations, supporting complex and distributed network infrastructures. Network operations are delivered around the clock from Germany, with a strong track record of deploying and managing international WAN solutions.

Security, reliability, and data protection are core to the organisation’s offering. The company is trusted by a range of customers from well-known international businesses to specialised market leaders and operates to recognised standards for secure data communications.

They are now seeking a SD-WAN Engineer to join their team.  Within this role, you will use your skills to be the Fortinet customer engineering expert, handling escalated issues as well as having input during the pre-sales phase.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a Fortinet customer engineering expert, handling complex escalation issues beyond standard TAC resolution
• Provide technical input during the pre-sales phase, including RFx support
• Design end-to-end network architectures based on Fortinet solutions
• Lead and support SD-WAN implementations as the primary area of responsibility
• Support integrated firewall solutions within Fortinet-based environments
• Work closely with customers, engineering teams, and sales stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Fluent in German, both written and spoken
• Strong background in network design and network engineering
• Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN (essential)
• Solid understanding of Fortinet firewall technologies
• Experience working in customer-facing technical roles
• Comfortable operating across delivery and pre-sales environments

Salary:

• Base salary around €100,000 with flexibility
• Flexible location across Germany, with preference for Münster
