We are partnered with a Texas-based grocery leader established in 1916, with over 95 stores across 30 cities. They operate under various banners, catering to diverse customer needs, from budget-conscious shoppers to those seeking a premium experience. They prioritizes customer service and offers a stable work environment within a growing company. 

They are now seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join their team.  In this role, the Senior Database Administrator is responsible for the analysis, architecture, security, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and repair of our clients Microsoft SQL Databases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to Application Developers
  • Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
  • Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations
  • Deploy SQL patches
  • Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades
  • Responsible for MSSQL database backup and recovery
  • Maintain least-privileged access to databases
  • Process work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
  • Collate, prepare and present statistical information for internal and external use
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field
  • 7+ years of experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, PL/SQL coding
  • Easily design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code
  • Implement and manage company data management practices and policies
  • 5+ years of experience in administering, managing and tuning databases
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
  • Good understanding database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

Salary:

  • $105,000 - $125,000
