You will be exposed to a heavily Cisco-based environment, using hands-on knowledge with BGP and other protocols to maintain and develop a core ISP network.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver, and maintain large-scale enterprise network projects focused on WAN, SD-WAN, and SASE solutions for major customers.
  • Upgrade and optimize the company’s MPLS and EVPN/VXLAN core infrastructure, ensuring scalability and high performance.
  • Configure and fine-tune routing protocols (primarily BGP) and contribute to network modernization and redesign initiatives.
  • Implement and support solutions using Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technologies across enterprise and data center environments.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network and data center systems, including cabling, server infrastructure, and hardware installations.
  • Develop and manage automation scripts using Python or Ansible to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing network solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven expertise with BGP on Cisco networks (essential requirement).
  • Hands-on experience with WAN, SD-WAN, and SASE technologies in enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Familiarity with MPLS and EVPN/VXLAN architectures, or strong willingness to learn and master them.
  • Practical knowledge of data center operations, including cabling, server maintenance, and equipment installation.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting with Python or Ansible for configuration management and process optimization.
  • Valid driving licence and ability to commute to Almere at least three days per week.
  • Proactive, adaptable mindset with a balance of operational and project-based experience.
