Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure (servers, services, applications) for KDDI Europe’s business and corporate operations.
  • Implement monitoring solutions for customer networks, services, and applications with a focus on detail, cost efficiency, and profitability.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to customers and KDDI group companies as needed.
  • Lead system architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing technical support.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including documentation, vendor negotiations, and coordination with internal teams or external clients.
  • Collaborate with other KDDI European group companies and customer organisations to ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provisioning, detailed planning, design and implementation of core systems and services, including hardware, software, servers and applications.
  • Network element configuration including day-to-day service delivery.
  • Network and server implementation and optimization.
  • Consideration of the most profitable system and implementation methods.
  • Creation of handover documents, providing internal training as necessary.
  • Documentation for implementation and modification.
  • Development and implementation of new features and services.
  • Migration planning and execution.
  • Proof of concept testing and acceptance testing.
  • Vendor negotiation and control.
  • 2nd/3rd level troubleshooting with relation to company divisions and external customers if required & escalation contact (if necessary, outside of
  • working hours)
  • Maintain secure operations and keep the environment tidy.
  • Project and service delivery schedule management.
  • Project and service delivery arrangement with KDDI HQ and KDDI European group.
  • Periodical status report to your line manager.
  • Endeavour to reach the project target provided by your manager.
  • Time management and project coordination for smooth implementation.
  • Report any incident to your superior in timely manner Ad-hoc tasks as requested by line management

Skills/Must have:

  • Extensive work experience in LINUX/Windows server environments.
  • ISP related server application knowledge and experience. I.E. SMTP, DNS, HTTP, Radius.
  • Detailed knowledge of monitoring applications such as zabbix, nagios, icinga, SolarWinds, OpManager and others.
  • Detailed knowledge of server and storage hardware.
  • Detailed knowledge of server security hardening.
  • Detailed knowledge of server virtualization (hypervisor).
  • Facility Management, Network Cabling, Equipment Installation.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong time management/multi tasking & organisational skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Reliable time keeping and attendance
