Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of complex Layer 1 to Layer 3 network solutions
- Provide technical input into proposals, tenders, and solution architectures
- Design and document optical and IP networks, including DWDM, OTN, and carrier-grade Ethernet
- Contribute to presales efforts, including customer consultations, solution scoping, and technical presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery
- Provide technical mentorship and act as an escalation point for the engineering team
- Stay current with emerging technologies and provide input into strategic direction
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong track record in design and implementation
- Hands-on experience with optical networking (DWDM, OTN, fibre infrastructure) is essential
- Sound knowledge of IP networking, including routing, switching, and MPLS
- Experience working directly with clients or internal stakeholders in a presales or consultative capacity
- Familiarity with major vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia
- Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills
- Industry certifications (e.g. CCNP, JNCIP, or optical vendor certs) highly regarded
