Responsibilities: 

  • Design and build efficient SQL Server databases, both on-premises and in Azure Cloud.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to solve technical and process issues.
  • Provide 24/7 operational support for maintaining system reliability.
  • Work within an ITIL framework to handle incidents, problems, and changes.
  • Develop automation tools to support DevOps teams.
  • Research and implement new cloud technologies in collaboration with vendors.
  • Work closely with senior staff to tackle technical challenges and develop solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to design and deliver new operational capabilities.
  • Support the sales team with complex solution designs for customer bids.
  • Lead the implementation of complex cloud services, integrating company offerings with cloud architectures.


Required Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Hold live NV1 Clearance
  • Deep understanding of SQL Server Architecture and a history of driving successful results.
  • Expertise in Availability Groups, Mirroring, Log Shipping, and Replication.
  • Skilled in SQL Server Security, as well as database migrations to both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Experience with SQL Server on public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).
  • Proficient with Azure SQL Managed Instance and AWS SQL Server RDS.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and Managed Services.
  • Proficiency in TSQL, Powershell, and general scripting.
  • System Administration skills, including storage and networking knowledge.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
