A growing IT services provider, focused on long-term partnerships and industry-leading support, is seeking a full-time on-site role for a Systems and/or Network Engineer located in Port Arthur, TX. You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our clients' systems and networks. You will work closely with our clients to identify and resolve any issues, as well as provide recommendations for system and network improvements. Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in systems and network administration (10 years+)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
  • Experience with network monitoring and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA) are a plus

Skills/Must have:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement network solutions that meet the organization’s requirements and industry best practices.
  • System Administration: Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows servers and workstations, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Active Directory Management: Administer Active Directory services, including user account management, group policies, and permissions.
  • Cisco Routing and Switching: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches to ensure reliable and efficient network connectivity.
  • Cisco Security: Implement and manage Cisco security solutions, including firewalls and VPNs, to protect the network from threats.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, identify issues, and take corrective actions to ensure network stability and performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues, collaborating with other IT teams as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure network systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
