Responsibilities:
- Design and architect a scalable and robust Layer 2/3 network infrastructure, ensuring fault tolerance.
- Develop network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Implement and configure Cisco and Ubiquiti switches and routers.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide expert-level support.
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry best practices.
- Monitor network performance and optimize configurations for efficiency.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network services.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of network solutions, from conceptualization and planning to implementation and optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations to support evolving business needs.
- Perform capacity planning and network performance tuning for both core and edge systems.
Skills/Must have:
- Valid CCIE Certification is required.
- Extensive experience in designing and maintaining Layer 2/3 networks.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Ubiquiti equipment.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Proven experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., OpManager, NetFlow, SNMP).
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network configuration and monitoring.
- Experience with network security best practices and firewalls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
