We are working with a technology services business, partnered with Australia’s largest telecommunications supplier, delivering innovative ICT services and solutions to small, large, enterprise and government customers. Their growing team is made up of Business and Technology Consultants, Project Managers and end-to-end Solution Delivery Experts.

They are seeking a Systems Engineer to lead their customer onboarding, collaborate with relevant project teams, and develop customised transition plans for a smooth transition into their Managed Services. The role requires you to provide expert technical support to customers, provide escalation support to our Service Desk team and mentor junior team members.

The role will be required to actively contribute to the development of internal processes, procedures, automation, system deployment and enhancements in the Managed Services team.


Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the Managed Services (ICT) onboarding process and projects, including planning and execution
  • Work closely with Entag project teams to ensure project work is effectively transitioned to the Managed Services team
  • Assist the sales team in a pre-sales capacity where required for new Managed Services ICT opportunities, including completing onboarding readiness assessments where required
  • Drive system automation and process improvement within the Managed Services team to deliver great outcomes for our customers
  • Write, review, and implement Change Request and Test Plans to facilitate major changes within customer environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex client IT issues in a timely, professional manner
  • Manage the escalation of tickets from the level 1 and 2 team where required
  • Provide input into the operations and processes of the Managed Services team
  • Train and mentor junior team members

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, 
  • Entra ID/Conditional Access
  •  Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure VM, storage, and virtual networking
  • Working knowledge of administering and managing server infrastructure, including:
      • Hyper-V
      • VMWare 
      • Group Policy
      • Active Directory
      • Network Policy Server
      • Remote Desktop Services
  • Experience in implementing and managing Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools – experience with Kaseya RMM is highly desirable
  • Prior experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  •  Solid understanding of networking principals and technologies such as DNS, DHCP, NAT, Wi-Fi
  •  Experience in deploying basic office networks including, LAN, WAN, firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with Fortinet and Cisco Meraki (desirable)
  • Experienced with deployment and support of AvePoint solutions, including Policies & Insights, Fly, Cloud Backup and Opus
  • Ability to identify tasks proactively and demonstrate initiative in completing those tasks
  • Skill in managing and configuring a variety of systems and be able to use new systems as Entag evolves
