Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop long- and short-term project plans with clear milestones and timelines.
- Coordinate project activities, delegate tasks, and manage resources effectively.
- Prepare project documentation including scope of work, BOMs, logistics, and access planning.
- Oversee deployments, fiber testing, and hardware implementations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring delivery stays aligned with customer expectations.
- Manage customer relationships during delivery, serving as the primary interface and handling evolving requirements.
- Deliver consistent project updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintain working files, documentation, and data sources in tools such as SharePoint and CMDB.
- Collaborate with engineering, NOC, IT, and construction teams to ensure accurate onboarding and execution.
- Provide technical oversight, including Tier I troubleshooting and familiarity with Juniper, Cisco, and DWDM systems.
- Drive process improvements by applying industry best practices and project management standards.
- Perform special projects or tasks as directed by leadership.
Skills / Must Have:
- 7+ years of project management or related technical field experience.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Project Management certification preferred (PMP, PRINCE2) but not required.
- Strong familiarity with project management software, methodologies, and ITIL standards.
- Hands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco routers/switches, with scripting and troubleshooting ability.
- Knowledge of DWDM, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, TCP/IP, and Layer 2–3 routing.
- Experience with Outside Plant (OSP), dark fiber, and OTDR analysis.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills using MS Office, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lead teams, influence without authority, and adapt to dynamic environments.
